On July 14, 2022, the first NFT in the form of a crypto-opera officially entered the famous Olivetti Historical Archives for the first time in history. The Olivetti Archives Association, which was born in Ivrea in 1998 by the will of the Olivetti company with the participation of members from the public and private sectors, carries out the work of collecting, reorganizing, preserving and promoting the vast archival heritage related to the history of the company and the personalities of the Olivetti family. These assets, which consist of documents, letters, books, newspapers, magazines, posters, drawings, photos, videos, products, forms and models, are the subject of meticulous electronic work in filing and digitizing.

Archive activity is not limited to scrupulous adherence to archives from recovery, indexing and archiving of documents, but also manifested through the activity of scientific assistance and consultations towards scholars and researchers, cooperation with cultural initiatives, organization of exhibitions and conferences, research and publications aimed at promoting knowledge of history and Olivetti values. How does cryptography work
Thanks to NFC technology, we just need to place any smartphone on the canvas to allow the digital animation to begin, which is demonstrated in this work by seeing hands hitting keys and producing the clear ‘melody’ given by the ticking of hammers that break on paper like waves on rocks. To give originality and individuality to the work, a digital graft was certified and then an NFT (mint) was created through the INarte.it digital platform through which a strong but above all personal artistic bond was created and established.
The titled art competition was recently launched on their platform encryption cards Where I will be involved in presenting a specific but above all original “figure” that can be transformed into a cryptographic card and then give life to a real series of “digital figurines” of the same subject and which until now remain top secret. Cryptocards created by INarte are physical smart cards in the form of an interactive credit card, personalized by the author in front/back printed graphics. Each Cryptocard comes with a web app that can be activated on a smartphone via a contactless system. The smartphone screen will display useful information for checking the NFT support certificate and the ability to view an external resource (video, social page or other resource indicated by the author).
