Owners of the popular memecoin Shiba Inu (SHIB) will now be able to use the cryptocurrency in Buying land in the Shebaa area.
The Shiba Inu team revealed on Twitter on Wednesday that the SHIB token can now be used to mint virtual plots of land within “SHIB: The Metaverse.”

Currently there 100,595 plots of land for sale On Chip: Metaverse. Initially these lands could only be purchased with ETH, but now the option has been extended to SHIB as well. Users can also use their own Shiba Inu symbols to customize these foundations.
Shipp: Metaverse landowners will be able to generate passive income, collect in-game assets, and get rewards, though it hasn’t been revealed yet.
Plots of land in the Shiba Inu metaverse will be liberated in stages. The preliminary stage witnessed it 36,431 packages released on April 13th. Lands were divided into four categories according to their degree of rarity: Silver Fur, Golden Tail, Platinum Paw, and Diamond Tooth, with a price of between 0.2 ETH and 1 YT.
Although the SHIB project was initially born as a simple memecoin, the developers have gradually expanded the ecosystem: today it also supports NFTs and the ShibaSwap DeFi platform. The ecosystem is also characterized by sub-codes, LEASH and BONE, who according to the developers will play a very important role in the metaverse. Currently, users who turn off LEASH have priority access to land deals, while BONE is a governance token that allows voting on decisions related to metaverses.
According to a recent post by the Tawheed Foundation on Medium, Shibar: The Metaverse will be based on Shibarium: a new Layer-2 extensibility solution for SHIB. A public test launch of Shibarium will take place over the next few months, with a public beta release shortly after.
On April 23, the developers launched ShibBurn, a platform dedicated to SHIB token burning: to date, more than 22.5 billion SHIB tokens have been removed from circulation thanks to ShibBurn. Since the birth of SHIB, 410,000 billion tokens have been burned, or 41% of the total supply.
